In conjunction with Black History Month and as part of the St. Barnabas’ Lenten series, join us for a viewing of Through the African American Lens, an exhibition featuring the personal and intimate narratives of various families, organizations, and individuals spanning from the Revolutionary era to the present. The exhibit offers an overall introduction to the Smithsonian’s new National Museum of African American History and Culture, opening in the Fall of 2016.
We plan to carpool, leaving the church at approximately 9:30 am to arrive at the museum by 10:30 am. Please bring money for lunch together at the Stars & Stripes Café.
